Few days ago, while I was browsing 9gag, I came upon this great post by wolfofnight. I guess some of you don’t know what SOPA is, so here is the short version. American Congress is trying to pass a bill that would allow American government to censor internet for American users. Also, site Megaupload was taken down and the owners got arrested for breaking copyright laws. Internet community swiftly answered with various signs of protest. In my opinion the most important thing that happened in last few days was the answer to American cyber imperialism by the group known only as “Anonymous“. These guys are “cyber collective” that really stepped on some toes with their actions, latest of which was the answer to taking down Megaupload. Their answer consisted of taking down the official site of FBI, Utah police and some other sites of American government. I can only say: “Good luck, and keep on fighting guys”.
